Board

The Board of the Estonian Centre Party manages the activities of the party on the basis of the party’s programme and the directions of action approved by the Congress and the Council. The party’s Executive Board consists of: the Chairman elected at the Congress; fourteen members of the Executive Board elected at the Congress; the Chairman of the party’s Council; the Chairman of the Central Party parliamentary group in the Riigikogu; the Chairman of the party’s Youth Council.

The party’s executive committee meets at least once a month. The work of the Party Bureau is chaired by the Party Chairman.

The Council is the representative body of the Estonian Centre Party, which develops the party’s policies during the inter-congress period. In its activities, the Council is guided by the party’s Statute and Programme and the rules of procedure approved by the Council at its meetings. It cooperates with state bodies, local authorities or their associations and other institutions.

The Council of the Estonian Centre Party shall consist of: the Chairmen of the regions; the Commissioners elected at the party’s regional conference, one for every 100 members of the region; the members of the party’s Executive Board; the members of the Centre Party parliamentary group in the Riigikogu who are members of the Centre Party; the Centre Party MEPs who are members of the Centre Party; one Commissioner elected by the party’s assembly if the party’s assembly includes at least fifty party members.

Meetings of the Council shall be held at least quarterly, four times a year. The Council shall be represented and chaired by its Chairman.
