The strength of the Centre Party lies in our members and supporters. Every member is part of a wider team with the common goal of making Estonia a better place. Our members actively participate in the internal life of the party, as well as in local and national elections, highlighting the needs and values of the community. The Centre Party is the largest political party in Estonia. The party’s structure supports transparency, democracy and the ability to take decisions that affect Estonia’s future.
Structure
Congress
The highest decision-making body of the Centre Party is the Congress, which is held every two years. The congress is responsible for electing the party’s chairman and the party’s executive committee, and for approving the principles and strategic directions that guide the party’s activities.
Board
The Board is the party’s day-to-day management body. It is made up of the Chairman, the Vice-Chairmen and other elected members who coordinate the party’s activities and take important political decisions. The Boards task is to implement the decisions taken at the Congress and to defend the interests of the Estonian people on a daily basis.
Council
The Council is the advisory body that shapes the Centre Party’s political direction, bringing together various regional and professional organisations. It discusses and endorses the party’s positions on topical issues and helps to steer the party’s political activities.
Regions
The membership of the Centre Party is divided into local organisations across Estonia, which ensure the party’s presence in each region. Our local organisations, in cooperation with the party leadership, help to represent and protect the interests of local residents by promoting active dialogue with the community and solving problems that affect local life.
Assemblies
Various assemblies have been set up by party members – for example, a youth assembly, a Greens assembly, a women’s assembly, etc. The assemblies provide a platform for participation in political debate and decision-making, offering input to the party leadership.
